About

Space Coast Politics is the pet project of Matt Nye, a former IT professional turned mortgage broker and title company owner turned IT professional again.

In the wake of the real estate collapse, Matt had to find a less expensive outlet to vent his rage over the stupidity spewing forth from Washington DC and Tallahassee because, thanks to $4 gas, he can’t afford to travel to either any more.

The purpose of the site is to challenge the liberal media’s collectivist agenda and the altruist/collectivist bromides it spews on a daily basis.

This is not, however, a “conservative” site. Matt lives his life in accordance with the principles of Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand, and thus thinks  reason – not party labels – should be the standard that guides our lives, as well as our elected officials. Alas, reason is a commodity in short supply these days.

There are two ways to look at Matt’s philosophy, insight and commentary: the glass is half full perspective, because he has something everyone agrees with; or the glass is half empty perspective, because he manages to piss everyone off.

So grab some popcorn, sit back, and join Matt as he gives you a blow by blow analysis of  the destruction of the greatest country in the history of mankind by those who would see us crawl in the mud in he name of “balance”, “equality” and the”environment”.
