A “Uniquely American” Health Care Plan
Washington, D.C., August 7, 2009—President Obama, in an effort to sell his socialized health care plan, has said that what America needs is not a free market in health care, but a “uniquely American” government-controlled system. But what would such a plan really look like?

More than 90 people attended last night’s Republican Liberty Caucus of Central East Florida June Meeting featuring guest speaker Will Pitts, State Chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida.
“This is more than twice the attendance we had last month, and proof positive that Americans will no longer sit idly by while our Constitution is trampled by short sighted politicians and special interest groups,” said Matt Nye, Chair of the RLCCEF. “Every single person at that meeting has a sincere desire to effect positive change, and that is exactly what we are going to do.”

Constitution is not a ‘living document’
June 1, 2009 by Mark Vance · 1 Comment
“On every question of construction, (let us) carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying (to see) what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, (let us) conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”
One of the most dangerous philosophical and patriotic heresies facing the American Republic is the argument that the Constitution is a “living document” designed to be flexible enough to assign to the federal government the power to apply “new solutions to new problems.”

Local party just says ‘no’ to primary endorsements
In a move bound to shock some party officials, the Brevard County Republican leadership voted May 14, on a resolution condemning the actions of the state and national organizations for interfering with state and local decisions.
The resolution comes on the heels of the announcement that the NRSC has already taken sides in the primary election to nominate a candidate to replace outgoing Republican U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez. The NRSC, National Republican Senatorial Committee, and arm of the Republican National Committee, has announced it will support Gov. Charlie Crist as Martinez’s replacement. There are at least two other Republicans announced in the primary election, including conservative former Speaker of the Florida House, Marco Rubio.

I have just signed a contract that will allow us to have the Tea Party at the Space Coast Stadium from 4-6pm on Saturday, July 4th at a cost of $5 per head. The $5 ticket price will include admission to the Tea Party, as well as the ballgame and fireworks afterwards.
There is nothing more American than baseball and fireworks, so bring the whole family and celebrate the founding of our country at the Independence Day Brevard Tea Party. The stadium seats 8,000, and our goal is to fill it!

Why oppose SB 956?

Why is SB956 dangerous?
SB956 for the most part is a good bill. However, there are aspects of the bill that are dangerous. I do not oppose the passage of the bill. I am not calling on our officials to defeat it. I oppose passage of the bill with the language in it that harms the Republican Party. Therefore, I call on our elected leaders to amend it to reflect the concerns addressed below. Further, I am asking all State Party Officials to take action and lead the way in this process.
I have put forward an explanation below:

‘Public Education Enemy Number One’ still can’t find the missing $100 million
“Truth, crushed to earth, shall rise again;
Th’ eternal years of God are hers;
But Error, wounded, writhes in pain,
And dies among his worshippers.”
The School Board has claimed consistently there has been a $100 million revenue cut over the last two years. My great sin was to ask for the state revenue numbers for the monies received by the BPS from the State over those two years. The property tax information was easily available from the Tax Collector as well as the School Board’s legal advertisement in July, and property tax revenue is up.
